1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime, this is Vicki Busch’s story. Vicki knew in her heart of hearts that she had cancer and that she had to get her lump on her breast checked out, but faced with denial and no insurance, it took her a few months before she told her daughter about her lump. The next day, she had an appointment at a free clinic. She kept a journal of her journey and now recounts the different treatments she went through to get rid of the cancer. Through it all, she has kept a positive, and at times humorous attitude, even when certain processes were difficult. She now is cancer free and lives a much healthier lifestyle than the one she had before cancer.
